Summer at Spring Valley

School was out for summer, but Camp Spring Valley was in full swing! Campers went from channeling their inner chefs in Cooking to playwrights in Readers Theatre. Middle school learned the ins and outs of running a lemonade stand by applying their fraction and decimal skills. Lower School worked in groups to solve a challenging Escape Room.

Of course you cannot have camp without some arts-and-crafts fun, so our campers crafted sombreros in Spanish and Tie Die t-shirts to take home as a souvenir of the best summer at SVS!

Also this summer -- The Hettie Johnson Institute launched its inaugural language skills training courses! TWELVE more educators in the state of Alabama have begun their journey to attaining their CALT/CALP certification beginning with Neuhaus Education Center language skills training, hosted by The Hettie Johnson Institute at Spring Valley!
