Amanda Sumrall
Reading Intervention
Amanda earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English and Reading from William Carey University. While pursuing her Master’s in Dyslexia Therapy, she began to work for Mississippi Dyslexia Center where she eventually became the lead therapist for the Madison location. Additionally, she is a member of the National Academic Language Therapy Association. Amanda is passionate about teaching students to read. Her passion for working with dyslexic students inspired her to move to Birmingham, Alabama in 2019. She is excited to experience a new city and work as she begins her journey with the Hettie Johnson Institute and Spring Valley School.
