SVS Partners with Church of the Highlands for Campus Beautification

July 15, 2023 - Spring Valley School was honored to partner with Church of the Highlands (Grandview) for Serve Day as we prepared the school grounds and facilities for the upcoming school year. We had 100+ volunteers spend the morning with Spring Valley staff and families to complete various projects such as power washing, distributing pine straw and mulch, clearing the trail, painting, installing fencing and a barrier around the playground, and so much more! Before leaving, volunteers made colorful signs of encouragement to welcome SVS students on the first day of school.

We cannot say it enough - A resounding "Thank You" goes out to all volunteers and sponsors who made campus beautification possible this summer at SVS:

• Church of the Highlands (Grandview) displayed outstanding leadership over today's event.

• Executive Landscape Management (ELM Landscaping) donated mulch, pine straw, and the use of gardening tools on all sides of campus.

• Homewood Lowe's Home Improvement donated supplies for continuing work on the new learning cottage to house 7 Reading Intervention classrooms. General Manager Robert Williams also provided countless cases of water for Serve Day volunteers.

• The Glups Family is renovating the new learning cottage and installing skirting on all cottages this month.

• The Foster Family just completed the new decking, making the learning cottages accessible to all students and faculty.

• Chick-fil-A (Wildwood Centre) donated lunches for today's volunteers.

• Spring Valley School families, faculty and staff show up year-after-year to nurture the learning haven making futures bright for SVS students.
