Class of 2022 Spotlight


On May 21, 2022 - Spring Valley School hosted its Commencement ceremony to celebrate its largest graduating class to-date.


All 17 of the #Classof2022 graduates are currently completing various certifications via trade programs discovered during their time at SVS, entering into employment, and/or preparing to continue their education at the college or university of their choice this upcoming fall.

Andres Arnold - Enrolled at University of Michigan to study Statistics

Ashna Bhambhvani - Attending University of Alabama at Birmingham to study Computer Science

“My greatest accomplishment was completing my Dual Enrollment courses, Perspectives of Learning and Rhetoric / Composition”


Wills Carrington - Attending Jefferson State Community College and Auburn University to study Business

“Thank you to my parents, teachers, and principal for making sacrifices for me to be successful”


Dustin Clark - Enrolled in Construction Basics Apprenticeship with CEFA (Construction Education Foundation of Alabama)to become an Electrician

“My time at SVS has made me confident in the subjects of math, history, and science”


Wayne Fairburn - Attending University of Alabama at Birmingham to study Business

Nicholas Foster - Attending Birmingham Southern College to study Physical Therapy / Health Science

Courtney Hahn - Attending Jefferson State Community College for Culinary School

Simeon King - Enrolled at University of Montevallo to study Computer Sciences & Programming

Anna Kirby - Taking Online Classes at Troy University

“My greatest accomplishment was learning how to present songs in sign language”


Annie Manning - Enrolled at Jacksonville State to study Nursing

“My greatest accomplishment at SVS was learning to read.”


Walker Mitchell - Attending Troy University after taking a year to work at JH ranch and in Aspen, Colorado on the ski mountains. Walker will also travel to Paris, Singapore, and Africa for a mission trip to do wildlife conservation.

“My favorite memory at SVS is when I gave back to the school by finishing my eagle project and building a gaga ball pit for the students to enjoy.”


William Poe - Attending Birmingham Southern to study computer science.

“My favorite memory at SVS will always been getting to know all of my friends and faculty, and going to New York.”


Aidan Smith - Attending University of Montevallo to study Business

“My advice to SVS students is to always ask for help and help the school when they need it”


Emma Watkins - Attending University of Alabama at Huntsville to study Computer Science

“At SVS, I got the support I needed from the staff and teachers. I learned to love math, science, and drama.”
