Maria Panaro Foundation Partners with SVS to Grow Music Program Supporting Exceptional Students
Birmingham, Alabama - Spring Valley School is honored to announce a generous grant from the Maria Panaro Foundation to support the purchase of instruments for music programs serving students in grades 1-12 with learning differences such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and ADHD.
Thanks to the support from the Maria Panaro Foundation grant, SVS will now be able to incorporate drums and xylophones into the instrument inventory for all grades, 1-12. Learning to play an instrument encourages improvement in fine motor skills and provides our students with exposure to the process of learning sequential concepts.
SVS utilizes small class sizes, specially trained educators, and multi-sensory teaching approaches to meet the varied learning abilities of their students. Spring Valley’s partnership with the Maria Panaro Foundation helps ensure that exceptional students in Central Alabama have access to supportive instruction that can transform their approach to learning and ultimately yield bright outcomes.
