Each year, students from all over the state of Alabama are nominated and recognized for their off-the-charts intellect and creative potential. SVS alums Lucian Chapman, Josh Howell and Hannah Fiveash made the Alabama Governor's School homepage as previous participants who have demonstrated exceptional ability and achievement in their studies.

It is a shared priority to foster these young, influential leaders' potential via continued learning alongside leading experts in fields ranging from the social sciences to performing arts. We are thankful to community programs like the AL Governor's School for providing SVS students the hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that correlate with Spring Valley's vision of stewarding the leaders of the next generation.
