Alumni Spotlight: Jacob Fiveash Steps into Title Role of Sam's Room at Red Mountain Theatre

Birmingham, Alabama - Spring Valley School is honored to have partnered with Red Mountain Theatre in the new musical Sam's Room starring SVS's alumnus Jacob Fiveash as the title role. Two performances were held on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 at Red Mountain Theatre during the Human Rights New Works Festival.

Red Mountain Theatre described the musical as a "groundbreaking pop concert/dramedy that follows Sam, a nonspeaking teenager, on his path to find a way to communicate. Struggling to reach others and buffeted by cruel reality, Sam’s pop star alter ego reminds us of the true power of the human voice."
