Misha Alexander
Misha Alexander is a Dyslexia Therapist at Spring Valley School, where she applies her expertise in individualized and engaging instruction. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). In addition to her role as a therapist, Misha is a trained facilitator of a religious formation program for children ages 3-12, based on Montessori principles.
Misha is passionate about making the seemingly impossible achievable for her students, emphasizing that each child has a unique set of learning challenges and gifts. She teaches based on the Science of Reading, focusing on fostering motivation, engagement, and determination as essential components of learning.
Her students often finish her program with extensive knowledge about the English language, sometimes even more than their family members. Misha is dedicated to supporting her students beyond their time at SVS, ensuring they continue to thrive in their educational journeys. In her free time, she enjoys reading and cooking, and she also studied French in college.
