Lauren Day
Lauren Day is a Speech Language Pathologist at Spring Valley School, holding a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Auburn University. Her professional background includes experience in various public school systems, including Alamance/Burlington Schools in North Carolina, Mountain Brook Schools, and Vestavia Schools. Additionally, she has worked at Child's Play Therapy Center.
Lauren enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. One of her favorite aspects of her role is getting to know her students, recognizing their unique strengths and interests. She particularly enjoys teaching the PEERS (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) curriculum, which is a research-based social skills program developed by UCLA. This interactive program aims to equip students with essential social skills for their future success.
Lauren emphasizes the intelligence and potential of her students, wishing others understood just how bright they are. She appreciates the loving and accepting culture at Spring Valley, where teachers strive to support students in achieving their best outcomes.
