Ella Ochoa
Ella Ochoa is a passionate 3rd-grade teacher and Dyslexia Therapist in training at Spring Valley School. She holds a Collaborative Special Education Degree from Auburn University and is currently undergoing training through the Neuhaus Education Center. Prior to joining Spring Valley School, Ella taught as a Special Education teacher at AWAKE Community School.
In her personal life, Ella enjoys reading mystery novels and engaging with math, often spending quality time with her family at the lake. She values the small class sizes at Spring Valley, which foster a tangible and realistic growth environment. Ella emphasizes the importance of knowing her students and their parents well, creating a positive experience where everyone collaborates to achieve the shared goal of helping students succeed.
Ella firmly believes that every child can learn, adopting the motto "You can do hard things!" in her classroom. Her students thrive on hands-on learning experiences, such as building landforms out of play-dough when studying geography. She views learning differences not as challenges but as unique traits that enhance each child's skills and character, contributing to a beautiful diversity in the classroom.
At Spring Valley, Ella appreciates that students are not just numbers; they receive individualized support daily rather than just occasional interventions. Each student benefits from consistent one-on-one support throughout the class, enabling them to flourish academically and personally.
