Our Mission Statement
The Spring Valley School is an independent, non-sectarian, co-educational, non-profit school whose mission is to provide excellence in education for students with learning differences.

We strive to be a community where children from grades 3-12 can master critical skills and develop the necessary tools for life-long learning. We provide, through individualized learning strategies and a multi-sensory approach, a broad-based curriculum to students that have average or above-average intelligence. Our students typically might have a diagnosis of learning disability, dyslexia, speech/language delay, or attention deficit disorder.

We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Our Beliefs

1. A successful student sets learning goals and monitors progress in achieving them.
2. Students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process.
3. Students learn best when our staff maintains high expectations for learning.
4. Curriculum needs to incorporate a variety of learning activities to accommodate differences in student learning.
5. Students learn to be good citizens by contributing to their community through leadership and service.
