ABOUT SPRING VALLEY SCHOOL

Welcome from the Executive Director

Thank you for visiting Spring Valley School’s website. At Spring Valley, we believe in the importance of providing a nurturing environment in which every student is appreciated. We all realize that self-image is the first step to becoming a successful person; therefore, the faculty and administration diligently work to highlight and enhance each individual student’s natural strengths, abilities, learning styles, talents and interests.

Spring Valley School is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory school whose mission is to provide excellence in education for bright students with learning differences. Spring Valley School admits students with average to above-average intelligence who have been diagnosed with a language or mathematics-based learning difference such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Dyscalculia. Our mission is accomplished by creating a multi-sensory, whole-child approach to education in a small class setting.

Our curriculum focuses on research-based remedial methods, study strategies and technology that are proven to enable students to accommodate their differences and demonstrate their maximum potential in our school setting and beyond. In addition, we are now utilizing a new approach to student's lagging skills entitled Collaborative and Proactive Solutions created by Dr. Ross Greene. Additional information can be located at www.livesinthebalance. Electives include drama, visual arts, graphic arts, career and college preparation, writing composition, ACT preparation, study skills, science fun, robotics, reading intervention, American Sign Language, Spanish, and Italian.

As you explore educational opportunities for your child, please contact us with any questions regarding Spring Valley and our admissions process. We encourage you to visit our school.  We would love for you to meet our fabulous students and devoted faculty.

The following extra-curricular activities, among others, are enjoyed by many students:

Fishing, Bowling, Chess, Leo Club, Student Council, Kindness Club, and Drama.
